MONKEY BIKE GOES TO CHARITY AUCTION FOR MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE WITH H&H CLASSICS AT THE NATIONAL MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM JUNE 9TH
The H&H Classics motorbike sale at the National Motorcycle Museum on June 9th features a charming 1964 Honda CZ100 Monkey Bike, similar to the one John Lennon used to get around his Surrey Estate. It is estimated to sell for between £7,000 and £9,000.
The Lot 102 bike comes with a heart-warming story. It is, says Mike Davis of H&H, being sold for a great charitable cause, the fight against Motor Neurone Disease. All proceeds from the sale of this little bike will go to benefit the charity.
Owned by the current vendor for 30 years it was previously part of a large private Honda collection. Restored a few years ago it has been dry stored since. It is UK registered and has matching numbers
Mike Davis, comments: “It is my experience that the motorcycle world is filled with many good hearted generous people so I will not be surprised to see this little bike owned by a man with a big heart, go to another big hearted individual. The cause it will benefit is an important one.”
