Saturday 27/02/16 was the date when 50 friends of the museum attended the first workshop training day of 2016 which was held in the museums Premier Suite.
Hosted by journalist and “Milestones” TT calendar girl Rachael Clegg, the day consisting of talks & demonstrations from companies and individuals associated with the museum.
The morning sessions offered the chance to learn some “tricks of the trade” from Redditch Powder Coaters and Central Wheel Components, both of whom work closely with the museums in-house restoration team. During the afternoon session, museum friends were treated to a fascinating talk by Norton race machine guru and ex-NVT development engineer Norman White who has restored many of the museums twin cylinder Norton race machines.
We have more Museum Workshop Days planned for 2016 which are all free of charge to friends of the museum as a part of their membership.
