BSA A10 Golden Flash was announced in October 1949, when it was offered with a choice of rigid frame or plunger rear springing.
The BSA A10 Golden Flash was presented at Earl’s Court Show – a chromium-plated tank with top and side panels in polychromatic golden beige, lined out in maroon. Moreover, the golden beige was not just on the tank but everywhere.
BSA A10 Golden Flash could be supplied in black instead of gold, though even in balck it retained the Golden Flash name. For several years to come, the BSA A10 Golden Flash would be the mainstay of BSA’s vertical twin range.
The 1954 BSA’s A10 Golden Flash original plunger rear springing had been supplanted by swinging-arm suspension with hydraulic damper units, and a dual seat replaced the single saddle.
