Continental Circus Ted Mellors was one of the greatest racing motorcyclists of his era having started his racing career in his first big race the 1927 Amateur TT.
From 1930 to 1939 he won 23 Grand Prix, five on New Imperials and 15 on Velocettes in additions he achieved three TT place plus a win in the 1939 Lightweight TT on a Benelli.
He wrote Continental Circus during the early days of the war but he tragically dies in 1946 with carbon monoxide poisoning working in an unfamiliar unventilated garage.
The book was never published but after the war his widow, Gladys, asked the great motorcycle enthusiast, author and publisher, Geoff Davison, if he could help.
