RARE BARN FIND 1964 LAMBRETTA GT 200 SCOOTER TICKS ALL THE BOXES AFTER 45 YEARS AS A SLEEPING BEAUTY – READY NOW FOR RESTORATION.
FOR SALE WITH H&H CLASSICS AT THE NATIONAL MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM, OCTOBER 27TH
This rare 1964 Lambretta GT 200 Italian beauty has been sitting in a makeshift lean-to shed since 1976 and is now coming to market with H&H Classics for auction on October 27 at the NMM, Birmingham. It is estimated to sell for £3,000 to £4,000.
Mike Davis of H&H, says: “This is a very original machine and is an extremely rare model. There has been lots of commission bids already after it appeared on our website for the coming sale. I will not be surprised if it far exceeds its estimate. It is a fantastic opportunity to restore and ride.” He adds: “We have been advised this machine may have been a “Dealer Special.”
This Lambretta GT200 is an extremely rare recent shed discovery. It has been resting peacefully until July 2021. It is mostly complete with original tinware and it has been confirmed as a correct numbers machine.
The engine turns over with compression. It comes with an old RF60 continuation logbook, but the V5c will have to be applied for. Once restored by its new owner it will no doubt provide some Italian ‘Dolce Vita’.
